1. The COVID 19 Pandemic hits The United States very hard. That made us the leading country in the world in the number of COVID 19 diagnosed cases and in the number of people who died because of the virus. What have we done so far to deal with this pandemic? and in your opinion, what can we do better to deal with it? ( 60 words) 2. How has worldwide interconnectedness caused Covid-19 to spread into remote areas and in what ways has globalization helped us know about and address the plight of indigenous people? Humor is something that can either go really well in a special occasion speech or very poorly. Why do you think it is so hit-or-miss? What advice would you have for someone who is considering using humor in a special occasion speech? (200 words) Respond to this statement for question 4 (150 words) 4.When presenting a special occasion speech, humor is definitely a very unique tactic that can be used. Depending on the specific occasion, however, it can definitely be a hit or miss. I believe that it should only be used on a case by case basis, and the speaker should analyze his audience very, very carefully before including any type of humor within his or her speech. For example, in a toast, it would be appropriate to include humor if the speaker chose to, as it is a good-spirited occasion and it would be in good fun. In a eulogy situation, however, although sometimes it is acceptable, it might not always be the best timing to attempt getting the attendees to laugh as it could be taken the wrong way. Overall, I believe that humor is a great way to get the attention of your audience. If I were giving someone advice on using this technique within their special occasion speech, I would advise them on making sure they understand who they are speaking to and if the occasion allows for humor.
