standards that can align with some of these legal considerations.

Specifically, the following critical elements must be addressed:
 Describe at least one ethical issue and one legal issue that might arise if a patient is discharged too quickly from a hospital or residential setting when
better stabilization is required.
 Describe implications if the patient is a minor child. How might the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), which is a federal law that
protects the privacy of student education records, be a component of a discharge plan?
