a) Describe briefly the organization/company/agency/institution identifying its mission, your role, responsibilities, title.

(Name-Naixin Zhang.I’m majoring in Leadership and Management Studies, and my concentration is Marketing, Advertising, and Public Relations.)

I am working for Moge Tee USA Franchising LLC which is is a global beverage franchise, headquartered in Guangzhou, China.

My position now is Marketing Manager. It requires me to do things related to marketing, advertising and brand promotion, sometime I will be assigned to cooperate with Operations Department.

My work includes business cooperation with food delivery companies, and creating marketing plans and promotion plans that helping store managers break into local market. In addition, analyzing local market for new stores is also one part of my job.

There will be three-month probation period. And I believe I will be doing well.

b) What were the goals you and your sponsor set for your internship? Were they met? Did they change during the course of the internship?

The main purpose is increase their profit. They hope I can help them improve their online platforms, such as improve online service at different online delivery platforms, improve online platforms menu, etc,.

c) What were your learning experiences academically and professionally? What skills did you acquire (technology, research, managerial, other)? Did the concepts or theories learned in your courses help with functioning successfully in a real world work environment? How so?

1. Understand the product, understand the company’s grass-roots stores: make tea, cashier at the front desk, and find marketing plan inspiration through basic work

2. Learn to use the back-end of several major delivery platforms in the market, including ubereats merchant management back-end, grubhub merchant management back-end, etc., and analyze the market through the information provided by the merchants and using the knowledge learned.

In addition, I also learned to use and manage merchant social accounts such as Google my business, yelp for my business, Tripadvisor

3. Store manager / franchisee training: edited the instructions for take-out equipment (table), and compiled a list of marketing methods in combination with the courses learned

d) Were your expectations met? What do you feel was the most important challenge you faced? Would you recommend this internship to other students?

I think my expectations have not been met. Although the turnover on the online deilvery platform has increased, I think I still have a lot of room for improvement.

I would recommend this internship, although he is not a big company but very comprehensive. You can get in-depth contact with customer groups or potential partners.
