Goals for Stevens District Hospital, Part 1
Clear, actionable, and measurable goals are essential to strategic planning. The goals must be
designed to support the mission and vision of an organization.
Answer the following questions with a total of 260 to 350 words. Your analysis should be based
on your review of the data provided in the Stevens District Hospital strategic planning scenario
and your SWOT analysis.
Enter your answers beneath the prompts.
Identify a clear, actionable, and measurable technology goal for the organization that supports
the mission and vision.
To create a multi-based database that will have all the patients in need of physician
services to log in using their user-created accounts to book their appointments with the medical
specialists (Ansoff et al., 2019). This will reduce the waiting time experienced in the earlier days
that have made patients shift to the competitor hospitals.
Analyze how this goal supports the mission and vision of the hospital.
The mission of the Stevens District Hospital is to provide a comprehensive range of
services, high-quality health care, and with exceptional service (Ansoff et al., 2019). This will be
achieved because the e-service means that the patients seek to get all the services using a

computerized system, which means that there will be no delays in delivering services. The
patients will be in a position to give feedback where they feel dissatisfied.
With improved service delivery, there will be improved intake with minimal expenses
meaning that there will be increased revenues to support the employment of “at least six family
practice physicians and specialists in cardiology, oncology, and women’s services,” is the
mission of the hospital.
Explain how you would measure progress toward the goal.
•
Discuss the milestones necessary for progress.
The milestone that is necessary for progress in achieving a market share of the 95th
percentile. The technology objective is to have e-visits by the specialists operating at the
hospital, ensuring that there are less debt and more disposable cash. Pharmacies should
also be added to the instant clinics by the north end of the county concerned six months
ago (Doll et al., 2019). There is also urgency for the renovation of the core medical
facilities so that aesthetics is updated.
•
Discuss the criteria you would use to measure that the goal was completed.
The criteria we will use to measure success is that new patients will be attracted to
our modern facilities and even to our old hospital because of the efficiency improvement.
The patients who need specialized care will be accommodated at the facility. The
technology will make the hospital go digital, so the patients will be able to give feedback
on the services received. They will be an option for providing suggestions regarding what
they received. With this, patient satisfaction and the perception of high quality will be
determined.

This will also be measured by having the ability to cash on new projects once we reduce
