Total Points: 50.
Submission: Only one submission per team. Submission via Moodle.
Document Length: 4 – 6 pages (including any charts, exhibits, etc.). Excluding cover page, table of
contents, and bibliography). MS-Word Format only.
Paragraph Spacing: All papers must be single-spaced. While the preferred font is Times New
Roman, students can use a different font that may work better with their chosen MS-Word template.
References: Minimum 10 references must be included. References pertaining to a source such as a
company website and its various pages count as a single reference which means the other 6 references
should come from non-company sources. Same applies to any news or journal articles. All references
pertaining to a single source must be listed as 1.1, 1.2, 1.3…. or 2.1, 2.2, 2.3…. or 3.1, 3.2, 3.3…. etc.

Moodle.

A cover page – must list the topic and the team number as well as team member names.
All figures/charts must be included in the body of the paper and not in an Appendix.
All figures/charts must be clearly legible. Any unreadable chart will lead to loss of points. It
may be better to recreate the chart (Excel or PPT) than to simply copy and paste it from an
Internet source.
All figures/charts must be numbered and have a title, e.g., Figure 1: Company Financial Data.
Use of Turnitin
1. Turnitin will be enabled for all written assignments.

2. Student papers must meet the threshold of no more than 20% content match. This ensures a
higher degree of content originality and reduces the incidence of plagiarism.
3. Upon submission of their paper, students will be able to see their Turnitin match percentage
score.
4. If your paper has a higher than 20% percentage match, you will have the opportunity to
take down your submission and reload for up to 3-times within the due date. After the
third attempt, the system will lock access and the ability to take down the document.
5. To avoid plagiarism, do not copy and paste content directly from various sources such as
excessive use of direct quotes.
6. Any re-submissions past the due date will only receive partial credit, up to 50% of the
assignment score (e.g., if the assignment is worth 100 points, partial credit will be up to 50
points).
7. You do not need to create any external accounts, etc., with Turnitin. Turnitin is already
enabled/integrated within Moodle. Do not submit your paper to any external Turnitin or similar
accounts before submitting to Moodle. Doing so will lead to a higher match percentage for your
paper.
Project Paper Additional Instructions
1. All papers must be submitted by the due date (see above).
2. Any paper submitted past the due date will be given only half of the credit (50%).
3. All papers must meet the Turnitin match percentage of 20% or below. Papers exceeding that
percentage will be penalized as follows*:
a. 0—20%: no penalty
b. 21—30%: deduction of up to 5 points
c. 31—40%: deduction of up to 10 points
d. 41—50%: deduction of up to 15 points
e. Above 50%: deduction of 20 to 40 points
*based on the severity of violation
4. All team members are expected to contribute materially toward completion of the project. A
material contribution has the right depth and quality of information/write-up and not just some
loosely put together passages which others in the team may be forced to re-write or organize or
reformat.
5. Team members must also make timely contributions and not dump information on rest of team
members at the last minute before the assignment is due.
6. In the event that a team member does not do their “fair share,” others in the team should notify
me before the due date for the project or soon after. All such complaints will be taken seriously
and in certain cases, the team member that has not contributed adequately will have their grade
considerably lowered (anywhere from one letter grade to three letter grades). Lack of
contribution may also lead to a student being expelled from the team.

include Target and then Walmart. The company’s products in these channels include a variety of
