District of Columbia The Cask of Amontillado by Edgar Allan Poe Paper CONSULT MODULES FOR THE RUBRIC FOR CRITERIA AND EVALUATION OF THE RESEARCH PAPER. THE PAPER SHOULD BE 1500 – 1800 WORDS. SAVE THE ENTIRE PAPER AS ONE WORD DOCUMENT IN ORDER. please look at the file down has all full information that you need to follow. thanks SUGGESTED METHOD:
1. The paper must be written in the Argument/Persuasion pattern. It was taught in COM
1101. Review your text and/or notes.
2. Read the three choices carefully.
3. Choice #3 provides an opportunity to work on a topic that a student prefers. Remember:
the choice must be approved; however, if students use an author and/or literary work that
is represented in our anthology, the approval is secure.
4. Brainstorm ideas about the topic.
5. Give focus to the topic: write a “working thesis” statement; this statement can be revised
as work on the paper continues.
6. Upload: topic, focus (title?), and working thesis.
7. Be sure to use MLA format: heading, running head, margins, font type and size; doublespaced.
8. Do not include “Works Cited” for this assignment. The library information class (held in
our classroom) will assist with this task.
SUGGESTED CHOICES:
CHOICE ONE: PRINT VS. FILM VERSION OF A LITERARY WORK The research
paper may provide an analysis of a print and film version of a literary work. Take a position
(argument) that substantiates the point of view about how one version is superior to the other in
any aspect(s) of the analysis of literature. For example: “The print version of Shakespeare’s
Othello presents a more complete treatment of the theme of the play.” While comparing and
contrasting the print and film versions of the play the paper will be supporting a thesis. Students
are responsible to find a print and film version of a literary work of their choice (if they choose
the option).

SCHOLARLY?), ASK A LIBRARIAN. IF YOU AVOID SPARKNOTES, CLIFFNOTES,
WIKIPEDIA, SHMOOP AND THE LIKE, YOU HAVE A BETTER CHANCE OF USING A
SCHOLARLY WORK. USE THE EVANS LIBRARY RESEARCH PAGE AND/OR
GOOGLE SCHOLAR FOR THE BEST RESULTS.
IF YOU ARE UNSURE ABOUT MLA FORMAT, CHECK
