2. Give the title.

3. Write at least two character sketches (150-words each).

4. Write a minimum 300-word plot summary.

Then, remember that every piece of popular culture is an ideological text that contains information about how its makers and viewers understand society, what matters to them, what they hope and fear. Remember that these things will be different according to where we are in the world, and what the makers’ and viewers’ cultural backgrounds and their individual opinions and experiences.

6. In approximately 300 words, address the following:

What cultural values does your film/animation/tv project promote, and condemn? What moral and cultural values do the characters display? How would this project be received in the (UAE)? In a predominantly Muslim context? Why? Would the UAE government be likely to support it? Would Hollywood be interested in it? It is a ‘global’ project or is it loyal to and interested in particular, local histories and cultural forms?

7. Conclude your essay by stating who/what social groups you think would love your project the most.
