Students will construct, submit, and present a PowerPoint Presentation of a disease or disorder consisting of approximately 10 PowerPoint slides without sound or unusual transitions. The presentation will contain the following minimum slides: Title, Introduction, Etiology, Symptoms, Diagnosis, Treatments, Summary, plus three image slides for the disease. Text content of each slide will need to be comprehensive and not superficial. No copyright markings or watermarks should be visible on the images. Each slide in the presentation is worth 5 points for a total of 50 points provided all the above categories are included. Students must present their Disease Presentation in class over Collaborate. Students submitting a PowerPoint without presenting during Collaborate will earn a maximum of 25 out of 50 points. A Health Information Technology student could list specific ICD-9, ICD-10 and CPT codes related to the disease they presented describing the diagnosis or treatment. Also, with images, please use tact when displaying diseases on the human body.
