Part of President Obamas Affordable Health Care Act requires that employers cover birth control in their insurance plans. Many groups are suing the government claiming that this is violation of the freedom of religion. Please use the information in chapter 2 that discusses the doctrines that govern what cases will be heard. There are three requirements for a case to be heard by the courts in a case like this. Do the groups intending to sue meet these requirements? Only discuss these requirements to bring a case to court. Do not discuss your opinions on this issue as this is a first amendment, freedom of religion issue, which we will discuss in chapter 6.
