Paragraph (or bullet point) 3: Discuss the most important or interesting point you think the educator made about rhetoric in the video “How Can You Change Someone’s Mind?” Cite a specific example using quotation marks.

Paragraph (or bullet point) 4: Provide an example of a conversation you recently had in your everyday life in which you were trying to persuade someone of something (or make up a hypothetical one if you don’t feel comfortable sharing something personal). Maybe it was over text, in-person, or an email that you wrote. Describe 1) the situation you were in; 2) what you were trying to persuade your audience of; 3) what rhetorical moves you made (appealing to your audience’s sense of logic, appealing to your audience’s values, appealing to your audience’s emotions, using a counterargument and refutation, etc.); and 4) whether and why it did/didn’t work. If it didn’t work, what could you have done differently?

You will respond to my initial thread. This post, as all of your discussion posts this semester, should be 200-500 words (unless you are posting a video, which should be less than 3 minutes). You do not need to include this word count; however, use the word count at the bottom right corner of the text box to ensure you are staying within the appropriate range.
