I’m trying to study for my English course and I need some help to understand this question.

Below is the prompt:

The idea is for you to research and understand the inner workings of a sports organization. The ultimate aim is to write a mini-case study backed by research evidence.

You are to select a sports organization of your choice. The core ‘product’ of the sports organization must be to plan, organize, regulate or ‘create’ sports entertainment. For example, Sports franchises/clubs (i.e. New York Yankees, Liverpool Football Club, etc), Sports Governing bodies (i.e. NCAA, International Olympics Council, FIFA) and others. Business companies like Reebok, Nike, etc don’t qualify as they don’t create sports.

Research your selected organization and write a short case study paper that covers:

(a) Its history- when founded, where, by whom?
(b) Its role/mission
(c) Its current organization structure—director, coaches, etc.

(d) Key players/officials in its history.
(e) Its past and current performance on the field (if applicable)

(f) Its financial position/performance.

(g) Issues that are attributed to the organization

This is the ultimate objective: Anyone reading your case study paper without having prior knowledge of your selected organization, should walk away with a reasonably good understanding of the organization and its operations.
