Need help with my Sociology question – I’m studying for my class.

Students will select a coming-of-age novel or novel focused on adolescence, emerging adulthood, or young adulthood to read during the semester. A coming of age novel, or Bildungsroman, is described as a “story that relates an adolescent’s movement toward adulthood and the corresponding awakening to a new understanding of his or herself and the world around him or her.” These stories involve themes of identity, self-concept, morality, politics, socialization, culture, ethnicity, race, class, love, and family.

For your final project you present to the class a presentation that consists of 4 components:

• A summary of your novel of choice and a detailed profile of the main character or protagonist.
• An overview of two major developmental theories or frameworks.
• An application of these two major developmental theories or frameworks to the novel’s main character’s psychological and/or socio-cultural development.
• An analysis and reflection on the two theories or frameworks abilities to accurately capture and explain the experiences, reality, and growth of the main character of your novel. This should involve a comparison of the two frameworks, critiques of the frameworks validity and generalizability, and your thoughtful evaluation on the frameworks strengths and weaknesses.
• Powerpoint and written presentation are needed!
