For this section we address some intense debates relating to why and how group differences occur, as well as what they mean. The topic of freedom of speech and freedom of expression is inherently tied to such controversial topics. For this connection, I would like you to find 2 examples demonstrating the power of freedom of speech: one in which that expression is used to defend a marginalized group and one in which it is used against a marginalized group. These examples can be historical or from modern news stories, but you should provide context and detail so the class can understand as much of “the full story” as possible. Please upload a document that contains a summary of the stories with relevant sources/links (APA citations) and a summary of how the stories relate to social justice.
