• You are to informally interview someone that you know about their attitudes toward Adult and Career Education.
  • This should be someone that you already know and can describe their background.
  • Consider using a family member or friend.
• Be sure to find out the following:
  • If this is a young person, ask what career plans they currently have.
    • Find out if they would or would not consider attending a vocational training program and why.
    • Do they have any pre-conceived notions about college or adult and career education?
  • If this is a young adult, ask if they are satisfied in their current occupation.
    • Ask if they have any plans for changing their occupation.
    • Find out if they would be willing to attend a vocational program and why.
  • If this is an older adult, ask if they are planning to make a career change at any point in the future.
    • Would they consider attending a vocational program?
    • Are there factors in this person’s background that you believe have influenced their attitudes about vocational education and training.
      • For example, do they come from a “white collar” family background?
    • Have they themselves already attended a vocational education program and were either satisfied or dissatisfied?
