Given the current rise in anti-semitism throughout the world, including the United States, the purpose of this discussion, in contrast, is to acquaint you with the rich history of Jewish immigration to California by having you complete a profile of a person or persons of Jewish descent who came to California between 1850-1900, experienced life in this state and achieved some success and/or made a contribution to the Jewish community and/or general society through personal achievement, their family relationships and/or community involvement.
