West Coast University Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia Case Study The purpose of the case study is to have you expand upon the pathophysiological disease process by searching for evidence-based practice treatment and advanced practice nursing role implications related to the disease.

Case Study Topic:

Cancer: Leukemia (may speak about different types of leukemia)

Identify current evidence-based treatment modalities for the selected cancer and discuss how the treatment impacts the disease process.

Conduct an evidence-based literature search to identify the most recent standards of care/treatment modalities from peer-reviewed articles and professional association guidelines (www.guideline.gov). These articles and guidelines can be referenced, but not directly copied into the clinical case presentation. Cite a minimum of three resources.

Include the following in your clinical case presentation:

A discussion of the pathophysiology of the disease, including signs and symptoms.
An explanation of diagnostic testing and rationales for each.
A review of different evidence-based treatment modalities for the disorder obtained from guideline.gov or a professional organization.

Next, address the following questions:

How does the information in this case inform the practice of a master’s prepared nurse?
How should the master’s prepared nurse use this information to design a patient education session for someone with this condition?
What was the most important information presented in this case?
What was the most confusing or challenging information presented in this case?
Discuss a patient safety issue that can be addressed for a patient with the condition presented in this case.

The use of medical terminology and appropriate graduate level writing is expected.

Your paper should be 3–4 pages (excluding cover page and reference page).

Your resources must include research articles as well as reference to non-research evidence-based guidelines.

Use APA format to style your paper and to cite your sources. Your source(s) should be integrated into the paragraphs. Use internal citations pointing to evidence in the literature and supporting your ideas. You will need to include a reference page listing those sources. Cite a minimum of three resources. Introduction
The final assessment is a five-question essay assignment. Your answers to all
questions should be complete and demonstrate your understanding of ALL of this
semester’s lessons. Each answer should be 3-5 paragraphs in length. This final
assessment is to be completed independently and without help from another student or
person. Each question has multiple parts. Please read the question carefully and
answer all parts for full credit. A minimum of two reference sources are required for
each question. All sources must be cited correctly using APA format. Failure to cite
reference sources will result in a reduced grade.
The completed Final Exam Paper deliverable is due by 11:59 PM Eastern Time on the
due date shown in the Course Schedule.
The Final Assessment is valued at 20% of the course grade.

Question 3: Describe four wireless technologies/standards. Describe what each one
does and briefly how it works? How is each one different from the other standards?
Why would you use one over the other?
Question 4: Describe what cloud computing is. Describe the three cloud computing
models. Discuss why and when you would utilize each model. Give examples.
Question 5: Describe in detail what the Internet of Things (IoT) is. What are the issues
with IoT? Do you believe IoT is the wave of the future (yes or no, and why)? How will
IoT impact the overall internet?
