Youll have to quell their fears, so its time for another memo. Please focus on these points:
1. Identify any significant changes that your organization might reasonably make in its product offerings in the next 3 years. Explain the competitive benefits of this change.
2. Explain how your information system addresses or can adapt to the introduction of these new product offerings.
3. Give one reason why capabilities for the new product offerings should or should not be incorporated in the initial information system design. Justify your reason.

Subject: Implementation of Information System
As part of the strategy aimed at transforming the organization, it is important to have an
information system that will help in running the day to day activities of the organization
especially those involving marketing and the interaction with customers. Many companies today
have applied different types of information systems as part of their strategy of keeping up with
the competition and keeping up with the ever-changing consumer network. The installation of
information systems calls for the use of both hardware and software, to achieve the desired
results. As part of my transformative agenda for the organization, I propose the use of Localvox,
which is software that will positively impact the fortunes of the organization and propel it to
greater heights.
The main reason behind choosing Localvox is based on the fact that it is one of the leading
marketing platforms that are easily available and affordable for use by any organization whether
small or big. It avails a platform where the business owners and the consumers can interact with
one another and share information with relative ease. It incorporates social media platforms,
websites, as well as newsletters, which are sent via mail to the targeted audience (“LocalVox |
Insivia Marketing + Web Design”, 2019). By using this platform, the organization will save a lot
in terms of the funds that would have been channeled towards marketing. The other advantage of
using this platform is that it is one platform that incorporates many. Therefore, instead of using
different platforms at the same time, the organization will only have to use Localvox to monitor

all other platforms through one single channel. This also means that it will reduce the number of
personnel required in managing the marketing sites.
According to Basu (2015), leaders have an important role to play in the management of
change within their organizations. It is for this reason that I chose to approach you with this
proposal for implementing the introduction of an information system in the organization.
Visionary leaders never cease to pounce on opportunities that have the ability to transform their
organizations (Connelly et al., 2016). Therefore, it is my belief that you will see the potential
impact that this software will have on the organization and approve its implementation as soon as
possible. I can handle most of the implementation work on my own. What I will require will be a
few skilled individuals who will help me in certain areas where there will be a need. In addition
to this, I will also need money to help with purchasing a few items. At the moment, the
computers we have at the organization are not up to date. In this regard, we will need to acquire
some new computers that have the ability to run the software without breaking down. The money
will also go into purchasing cables and other components that will be needed for the installation.
Getting everything ready to be up and running will call for time. In order to ensure that I install
everything and perform all the necessary tests after the installation, I will need approximately
three days. The duration will be used to assess the level of work that is to be done, as well as to
assign duties to the respective people that will be helping with the installation.
As earlier pointed out, to ensure that everything runs smoothly through from the start of the
implementation phase to the finish, the organization will have to purchase a new set of
computers and other necessary accessories that will be used together with the software. The staff
members who will be tasked with the responsibility of handling the software and dealing directly
with the clients will also have to undergo some training for them to understand how the software

works and how well to interact with the clients on the platform. A training program will be
developed solely for this purpose. There will also be a period of selection where the ideal
candidates for the training will be selected and trained. The areas to be trained are not many. One
of the qualifications that will be taken into consideration when selecting the candidates for the
training will be computer literacy. The candidates selected must have prior knowledge as far as
operating the computers is concerned. This will reduce the duration that will be spent on the
training program to one day or less.
In order to ensure that there will be a limited interruption during the transition period, only a
few staff members will be selected at the start of the implementation process. The rest who are
not selected will go about their normal daily duties. Once the training for the first lot is complete,
the second part of the training for the second lot will commence. While the second batch will be
training, the first batch that had already completed the training will resume normal duties. This
interchange will guarantee a smooth transition process in the implementation of the information
system. Up to this point, no other possible source of resistance has been identified. Therefore, we
expect a smooth transition all the way to the end.
