Going into the program, I thought epidemiology was something that I wanted to pursue; however, now that I have taken this class, I can see how important statistics are in Public health is. I start liking statistics and using software like SPSS and excel. And I am pretty sure epidemiologists have to use statistics to study for their research. The statistics are cruel because they can aid the target of health issues. And they are also investigating trends, patterns, and relationships using quantitative data (Scribbr, n.d.). Planning statistical data is the first stage of health promotion because the main task is to understand the health challenges better. The next step is implementation which uses collection and evaluating the data. Then evaluation gathers all the data received from the community so they can identify the outcome of health promotion by communicating back to the community. My vision about statistics changed a little going into the course. I wasn’t sure how I was going to survive the class; however, I started to enjoy it more because I learned about software like SPSS, coding, and other topics, which made it more interesting,
