Guidelines
• Create a cartoon character or a logo that is unique, clear and clean and
is completely from scratch
• You may use the pen tool AND the live trace for 2 different versions.
Both lines should be clean
At least one version (pen or trace) should be colored
• Prep, plan and figure it out before you start! Revise if needed but have a
preliminary plan.
• Originality (make sure your work doesn’t look like a carbon copy of
something that already exists)
• You may toggle between Illustrator and Photoshop so long as your line
work and foundation is done in ILLUSTRATOR. Only “coloring” for
Photoshop.

your movie!)

• Stay true to foundational Photoshop technical knowledge (i.e. 300
resolution, movie poster size, new layers, etc.)
