Now I want you to write me one to two-page MLA reflective analysis with a Works Cited page for any sources that you referenced in your news article. As part of the analysis, consider the choices you made as you constructed your translation from a scholarly article, written for academics, into a news article, written for the public. Offer a rationale for each of your decisions that connects your translation to the larger rhetorical context and the conventions of each genre. For example, if you translated the title of the peer-reviewed article for a public audience, explain why the new title is the most appropriate one for your public audience. Also, if you altered the structure or reference style of your article, explain why the new structure and method of citing sources is more appropriate for your new, public audience.

In the attachments, you will find the news article you created along with the peer-reviewed article that was used. Surname 1

Regulating Security on the Internet: control versus trust
Wants to know the role the government plays in relation to cybersecurity, come along and
let us ride together through the journey. A few decades ago, the government used to take the issue
of cybersecurity as a complex issue, but later they came to realize that they too have a role to play.
Esther Keymolen ones said that “In the 21st century the internet has become indispensable to the
extent that the government should formulate a whole agency that is specifically to deal with
technology”. One would support this idea because nearly everything today has shifted from the
traditional analog to being digital.
“Cybersecurity is a broader term that can be used in describing not only the regulations
that offer security to the internet but also the human beings that interact with the computer systems
on a regular basis,” says Bibi van der Berg and Esther Keymolen
.
This is a two-sided affair because of the cost implications where the end-user is left to bear
the expenses as the internet providers, both public and private, are left to enjoy all the gains and
profits. One of the ways that one would use to have control of cybersecurity is the implementation
of techno-regulations into full effect. These refer to the rules, regulations, terms, and conditions
that internet users should follow. The internet has no option rather than to comply with them if at
all, they want to continue enjoying the use of the internet. However, the main problem comes up
with the existence of lawbreakers who hack the systems, therefore, becoming non-compliant with
the set techno-regulations.
“Trust can be simply pinned down to mean having closely connected positive expectations
about the actions that have been done by others,” says Bibi van der Berg and Esther Keymolen.

Trust can be used as one of the domains to deal with the issue of cybersecurity. Trust is
having a certainty of future happenings as a way of minimizing the complexity of life. The future
is not always certain because no one knows what will happen tomorrow, but all we do is trust and
hope that all will be well. When the end-users trust that the internet and website developers have
formulated safer ways of dealing with security, the cybersecurity issue becomes easier whereby
no party ends up feeling oppressed by the set regulations.
“Trust is a formidable way of dealing with the uncertainties that come by, but security
should always be there to be followed by trust,” added Bibi van der Berg and Esther Keymolen
. This means that trust is the ultimate goal of cybersecurity, but it falls down the radar under the
regulations that have been set.
