The question you have written is headed in the right direction, but is far too broad for a short research paper. It would take a book-length study to cover the scope of this question. Also note that the question is about the origins of the EU. After you have revised your question, reevaluate your sources and choose the best three to include in your bibliography. In your research summary, say something about how you determined which sources to select. Proofread carefully. Part two of the writing assignment involved me narrowing down the question.
