the 3 statements below, however these are provided to assist you in
your reflection.
“Nursing is rarely boring or predictable. In few other professions we are
present at life’s most momentous events, from birth to death, from
crisis to recovery. For those who thrive on variety and the full spectrum
of human drama, every day brings arrange of new situations”: Diane
Barnet (RN)
“I know I will be a good nurse, but I want to be more than that. I want
to be a nurse who makes a change in my community; one who
improves the lives of my patients through quality, compassionate,
culturally centred patient care. This is what being a nurse means to
me”: Jamie Contreras
“They are strong, yet they are compassionate. They often walk with
determination, yet have the gentlest of touch. They are educators as
they are always willing to teach and share their knowledge. They are
good listeners and always seem to be there when you need them. They
are Nurses”: Anon
