I plan to use the statistics to support my claim that this topic is meaningful and has a significant impact on K-12 education and identify the problem of practice. The ANOVA test will be used to show the significance of the surveys that will be distributed to educators. I am trying to ascertain if the teaching style creates statistically significant data which support the null hypothesis. I plan to distribute surveys to the different areas of ELL education i.e. Bilingual, Monolingual, and Hybrid/Mixed classes. The Anova test will be used to identify a solution. Qualitative data will be used in order to support the null hypothesis. By adding the views of former students, my quantitative data will be supported. I feel that qualitative data will provide my research with a personalized depth and measure individual progress towards a solution. Specifically, I plan to address qualitative data via Interviews with ELL program graduates, ELL student engagement through observations, and Reflective Teaching. Correlation will be the final quantitative data used to prove the null hypothesis and identify whether or not the solution was successful.”
