Introduction should describe what area of communication you chose, why, and what theory you will be using.
Theory overview will present your theory, briefly describe it and cite your textbook, and at least one more source that demonstrates you understand this theory and its application (what situations in real life are explained by this particular theory). You can choose a theory from the provided list, or use one that is mentioned in one of the articles you have read for your annotated bibliography.
Literature review will describe 10 academic articles you found (You can use five articles from your annotated bibliography, but only if you can describe them in context of your theory and the communication concept you chose to analyze). You need to have half a page for each article, and similarly to annotated bibliography, half of it (one paragraph will summarize the work, and half will be a critical analysis of the work)
Applying theory will mean you are relating all articles to your theory. Does your theory explain some of the articles hypotheses or research questions? Can you imagine why the authors of the articles chose this theory? If they haven’t can you argue why this theory would be a good connector between the articles? This is in some ways the most difficult part of your paper, because it requires the most scientific and analytical thinking. You are asked to see patterns, and generalize from them, to answer the “so what?” question. Why should we care about this theory? How does it explain and inform human behavior regarding communication?
Practical implications part is supposed to explain what situations in your life can relate to this theory, and what you can learn, having read all the articles and getting to understand this theory better about your own experiences as a communicator?
Conclusion briefly summarizes your experiences, lets the reader know what you have learned, this is also the part you can use to tell me what was the most fun, and the most challenging part of this project.
Reference list is supposed to meet APA criteria
