you will find a research question of interest to that has NOT YET BEEN ANSWERED. Introduction: You will present some information to make your reader interested in the topic. You will then review the literature on the topic and present your rationale for wanting to test the question. (Tip: You are essentially telling a story to the reader about what is known about the topic and what is not.) Once the reader has finished the literature review s/he should have a pretty clear idea of what you hypotheses will be and how you plan to test them. Provide a very brief overview of what you plan to do followed by your specific and directional hypotheses. (Tip: You want to provide just enough information here so that your hypotheses make sense to the reader.) Method: Your Method section should provide the reader with all of the information they would need to replicate your proposed experiment if they wanted to. (Note: Graduate students have to write a thesis proposal in which they present this same information to their thesis committee. The idea is for the committee to provide feedback on the proposed research so that the student can fix any problems the committee sees before starting the data collection process. You are doing a mini thesis proposal.) Proposed Analyses & Discussion: State which statistical analyses you would run to test your hypotheses. Briefly explain what it would mean if you supported or failed to support your hypothesis. Cite a Figure in which you will depict your expected results
