Changing nature of US Workforce

Discuss the changing nature of the US workforce between 2000 and 2020. Your answer should have two major elements – theory and data. The theory element should draw on Chapters Three and Four of your text. You should also seek out and use at least two academic articles. The data element should make use of the data available on the Bureau of Labor statistics website. In your answer, address the following questions:

1. What has happened to the labor force participation rate, both overall and broken down by age and gender?

2. How have the educational characteristics of the US Labor Force changed since 2000, both overall and broken down by age and gender?

There is no required word count although it is unlikely that you will be able to address the questions adequately in fewer than 750 words. Remember to support all arguments and conclusions with data. The data should be presented in carefully designed tables and/or charts.
